Three friends Masud Al Mehedi, Muhammad Golam Azam, and Md. Mahbubul Hasan came together to conceive Intelligent Card LTD. They embarked on a journey to sketch out its organizational framework and craft a well-thought-out strategic roadmap.
Under the jurisdiction of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, Bangladesh with Companies Act 1994 (Act XVIII of 1994) the visionary entrepreneurs’ brainchild, Intelligent Card Limited officially established on 1st June 2012.
It's indeed a noteworthy achievement for us to start our production journey with top-up cards/scratch cards in 2013 and Robi, secured us as their client. Manufacturing 5 million scratch cards in our first year is a significant accomplishment, suggesting a strong foothold in the smart card industry.
Entrance in production of SIM card. This expansion signifies our potential as Grameenphone, Bangladesh's largest telco operator, was added to our journey as a client. Besides, our scratch card manufacturing capacity increased from 5 million to 470 million.
Engagement with Banglalink has been a game-changer, resulting in a tenfold increase in SIM card production. Our commitment to meet market demand is evident in our decision to boost manufacturing capacity.
A milestone in production was achieved by producing the highest number of scratch cards and increasing the production of SIM cards compared to the past years. Attaining such a goal is indicative of meeting our customer demand and remaining competitive in the market.
In just five years, all telco giants became our clients, strengthening us in smart card manufacturing. We've also significantly increased our SIM card production compared to the past years, solidifying our success and industry recognition.
This year we accumulated high-quality production machines from Germany. This strategic move reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence and our dedication to elevating our production capabilities to unparalleled heights.
When COVID-19 emerged as a global pandemic, it brought unprecedented challenges and disruptions to every corner of the world. During the challenging COVID-19 pandemic, we persevered and continued to serve our clients with unwavering dedication.
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we were honored with the prestigious 2018 President Award for Industry Development by the Ministry of Industries. This award stands as a testament to our commitment and a source of pride for the Bangladesh government.
During the challenging COVID-19 period in 2021, we not only managed to maintain our existing client base but also saw a significant boost in the production of SIM cards and scratch cards. The growth was notably different from our performance in 2019 and 2020.
Once again this year, we found ourselves operating at the fullest, producing a substantial quantity of both manufactured SIM cards and scratch cards.
Our goals have been elevated, and we are now on the verge of entering the production phase for financial cards such as VISA, MasterCard, and so on. As a remarkable achievement in 2023, we proudly earned the top position, receiving the Smart Industries Award 2020 on January 5th. This recognition bears a significant sign in our journey, highlighting our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in the smart card industry.
